Uncle Fred in the Springtime

  • The master chronicler of upper-class British buffoonery, P. G. Wodehouse, famously loved booze. And when it comes to cocktails, Bertie et al do not disappoint. ‘To-morrow’ll be of all the year the maddest, merriest day, for I’m to be Queen of the May, mother, I’m to be Queen of the May’ is the full name of Lord Uffenham’s cocktail in Uncle Fred in the Spring Time, which he believes will alleviate the deepest despondency.
