Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 kaffir lime leaf, sliced into thin strips, (optional)
2-3 thin red chilli rings, (see note)
1/4 small lime, cut into a wedge

Method

  1. Place a little mound of the salt in a dipping bowl. Next to the salt place the lime leaf, if using, and the chilli, and beside that the lime wedge.
  2. Just before serving, squeeze the lime juice into the centre of the dipping bowl and stir with a chopstick to incorporate the flavours.

Note:

  • Instead of chilli rings, you can use some freshly ground black pepper.
