Easy parmesan breadsticks

These cheesy breadsticks are prepared using ready-made sheets of puff pastry, and are great with all kinds of creamy soups or with a pre-dinner drink.

Method

  1. If using frozen puff pastry, let it thaw at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Use a rolling pin to roll out the puff pastry just a little (use a bit of flour if needed). Transfer to a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper. Brush the pastry with lightly beaten egg and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese. Using a blunt knife or dough scraper, carefully cut the pastry into 2 x 10 cm strips and separate them. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden.
