This muesli is a classic, and is great for one of those days when you really need something substantial to get through to lunch. It has fuelled the Spoon Cereals team on numerous family skiing holidays and is inspired by the intrepid guide who has led Annie’s family up into the mountains many times since they were young. He loves his huge breakfasts! Whichever way you choose to eat it, make sure to bring a big appetite with you.

Ingredients

250g jumbo oats
85g buckwheat flakes
65g brazil nuts, roughly chopped
50g rye flakes
50g almonds, toasted
35g sultanas
35g dried figs
35g pumpkin seeds
35g sunflower seeds
35g linseed
25g dried bananas chips

Topping

Quantity Ingredient
milk
or yoghurt
banana
or red fruit compote

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Serve with milk or yoghurt, and either banana or a red fruit compote.
