Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
a bunch spring onions, (white part only)
60g butter
150g good cooked ham, cut into small cubes, (not the shoulder)
500g frozen garden peas
2 tablespoons water
salt
pepper
1 tablespoon chives, very finely chopped

Method

  1. Cut the white part of the spring onions very finely and fry in the butter, along with the ham, until the onions are soft. Add the frozen peas and the water. It will take a few minutes for the peas to defrost. Give it a good stir and cook for another 8–10 minutes. Test that the peas are tender, add some salt and pepper, and serve with a sprinkling of chives.
