400g long-grain rice
750ml water

To serve 6

600g long-grain rice
1.125 litres water

Method

  1. Combine the rice and water in a medium-sized saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cover the pan tightly and cook over a medium heat for 12–15 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside, covered, for 10 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
