Choose a good-quality ice cream, a tub that feels heavy in your hand. Remove the ice cream from the freezer a few minutes before it’s needed to allow it to become the texture of soft serve, but do not let it melt.

I’m just bananas for the rum in this recipe, but if you're not, feel free to go virgin.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
250ml vanilla ice cream or frozen yoghurt
50ml full-fat milk
2 bananas, peeled and frozen
2 tablespoons Bananas foster caramel sauce, at room temperature
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons dark rum, (optional)
whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in the jug of a blender. Blend until smooth. Serve.
