Making a healthy snack doesn’t have to be laborious. These are super-quick and easy and very nutritious, and trust me, once you try them you’ll love them. It’s the perfect option when your sweet tooth is nagging you.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
10 pitted dates
2 tablespoons tahini

Method

  1. Cut a small sliver off each end of the dates to flatten them, then cut them in half widthways.
  2. Place a small dollop of tahini on each date half to make a sweet, creamy, bite-size snack.

Good for:

  • Skin health, bone health, immune health

Star ingredient:

  • Tahini, or sesame seed paste, is very rich in several important minerals, especially calcium and zinc. It isn’t always necessary to guzzle milk and dairy products to get enough calcium. Zinc is vital for many aspects of health, especially for a healthy immune system and healthy skin, not to mention helping the body to produce its own in-built ‘house keeping’ enzymes.
