This is a super-easy smoothie that’s bursting with flavour and is packed to the hilt with powerful nutrients. Great for getting you going in the morning.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
100g frozen blackberries
1 ripe banana
100ml purple grape juice

Method

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blitz to make a thick smoothie. Serve immediately, with ice if you like.

Good for:

  • Eczema and skin health, eye health, high blood pressure, poor circulation, digestive health

Star ingredient:

  • Blackberries are a great example of the power of purple fruits. The intense colour comes from a potent group of phytochemicals including the widely studied anthocyanins. These have been found to enter the cells of the blood vessels, where they can deliver effects locally, such as stimulating the release of nitric oxide, which causes relaxation of the blood vessel walls and lowers pressure within them.
