This super-simple bedtime snack made with tryptophan-rich bananas is a quick, easy and effective way to combat hunger pangs, and won’t keep you up all night.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 very ripe banana
1/2 wholemeal bagel
1 tablespoon natural crunchy peanut butter

Method

  1. Peel the banana and mash it well in a bowl. Toast the bagel.
  2. Spread the peanut butter on top of the bagel and top with the mashed banana.

Good for:

  • Sleep problems and insomnia; constipation

Star ingredient:

  • Peanut butter contains the mineral magnesium, which can help relax the muscles and work as a mild relaxant to the central nervous system.
