Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1kg diced veal steak
6 small onions
3 ripe tomatoes
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
3/4 cup olive oil
1 orange, peeled
1 whole clove
1/2 cup white wine
salt and pepper

Method

  1. Place the veal steak and the rest of the ingredients in a deep saucepan. Add water to cover and cook over a medium heat for 30–45 minutes or until tender.
  2. Remove orange peel, cinnamon stick and clove before serving. Serve with white rice. This is also delicious as a taco or enchillada filling!
