Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups masa flour, see note
1 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients and knead for two minutes to form a soft dough. If dough feels dry, add more water.
  2. Cover and leave to rest for 30 minutes. Your masa dough is now ready to be used.

Note

  • Masa flour is a corn maize flour specially for tortillas and other Mexican dishes. You can find masa in good Spanish or Mexican delicatessens and some well-stocked supermarkets.
