When our daughter was still in preschool they had forest hikes on Fridays. Somehow, it had become an unwritten rule that all kids got crepe rolls in their lunchboxes every week! We still can’t understand how the kids could convince their parents to do this (or if it was just Elsa that had us fooled), but since we didn’t want her to be the only kid without crepes, we gave in to the pressure. To make sure that she also ate some vegetables, we made different colours of crepes every week – green spinach, yellow carrot and pink beetroot, or added fillings to the crepe rolls. We also threw in some carrot sticks on the side and a small box of chickpeas or sunflower seeds.

In this book you’ll find more than crepe rolls, though. We are sharing meals that travel well in a lunchbox and are nice to bring to a picnic or potluck.
