Tropicalia

Personally, I don’t think melons are that great in smoothies. David often tries to convince me by telling me how packed they are with liquid: ‘They practically came to this earth to be liquefied.’ But I am just of the opinion that they are much yummier chewed on. This is, however, one melon smoothie recipe that we both could agree on. Mango, passion fruit and lime make it very fruity, sweet, tropical and super-refreshing. It truly has the power to make even the most obnoxious melon smoothie opponent crave for more.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 orange, peeled
1/2 small honeydew melon, seeds removed
1/2 ripe mango, stone removed
1 passion fruit
or 1/2 golden kiwi fruit
1/2 lime, juice

Method

  1. Roughly chop the orange and add it to a blender along with the flesh of the melon and mango, the pulp of the passion fruit and the lime juice.
  2. Blend on a high speed until completely smooth.
  3. Pour into two medium-sized glasses (one of which is featured in the photo) and serve cold.
