The guarana is an indigenous red berry that’s known for its stimulating effect. It’s the main ingredient in the fizzy ‘natural’ energy drink called Guarana, which is becoming better known outside Brasil. We use it to replace the usual lemonade in Pimm’s for a twist on the quintessential English drink.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
100ml pimm’s no.1
2 x 330 ml cans guarana antarctica
ice cubes
2 passion fruit
1/2 cucumber, sliced
2 kiwis, skinned and cubed
handful mint leaves

Method

  1. Combine the Pimm’s and Guarana in a large jug and top with generous handfuls of ice cubes. Scoop the flesh out of the passion fruits and add to the jug with the cucumber slices, passion fruit, kiwi and mint leaves to garnish, and serve immediately.
