Clearly I’m a girl with savoury tastes as this is my kind of breakfast. I remember this dish from a holiday in Turkey. Watermelon with feta was always served at the breakfast buffet and I adored it. Sure, it works much better in summer – but I think it’s a real winner any time you can get watermelon.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/4 watermelon, deseeded and cut into chunks
100g greek feta cheese
1/2 red onion, finely sliced
handful small black olives
drizzle extra-virgin olive oil
splash lemon juice

Method

  1. Arrange the watermelon, feta, onion and olives on a plate. Drizzle with a little olive oil and lemon juice and serve.
