One of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne is a French restaurant called France Soir, and I usually have smoked salmon as a starter. Here’s my version of their elegant dish. (You are not required to speak French when you eat it.)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 slices smoked salmon
1/4 red onion, finely sliced into rings
2 teaspoons horseradish cream
1 tablespoon greek yoghurt
freshly ground pepper
lemon wedge

Method

  1. Arrange the smoked salmon slices on a small plate and scatter the onion rings on top. Mix the horseradish and yoghurt together and drizzle in lines over the salmon and on the plate. Season with pepper and serve with a lemon wedge.
