Basic balsamic vinaigrette

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
120ml olive oil
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons mustard
sea salt
freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Place everything together in a bottle or glass jar, put the lid on and shake. The mustard will act as an emulsifier and help the oil and liquid to stay together. You can add salt and pepper if you like, but I prefer to add this directly to my salad. It will keep at room temperature for 2–3 weeks.
  2. Serve over any basic green side salad, Greek salad, bean salad or a heartier salad that contains greens, beans and other veggies.
