The quickest, easiest, healthiest jam you will ever make.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
310g fresh or frozen blueberries, raspberries or blackberries
2 tablespoons maple syrup or any other sweetener of your choice
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon natural vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method

  1. Place the berries and maple syrup in a small saucepan and mash together with a fork or the back of a spoon. Place the saucepan over a medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in the chia seeds, vanilla extract and cinnamon and allow to cool. The jam will thicken as it cools. Transfer to an airtight jar until ready to serve. This can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.

It’s delicious on…

  • Fig and walnut bread. Like, get-the-hell-outta-town delicious. Also makes a great topping for a cheesecake or another cake.
