Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
125g smooth peanut butter
60ml tamari or soy sauce
60ml maple syrup or any other liquid sweetener

Method

  1. Combine the peanut butter, tamari and maple syrup and stir vigorously until they form a thick, brown sauce. Add some water little by little, stirring between additions, until it reaches a consistency you like. I use about 2 tablespoons, but the amount you need will ultimately depend on the thickness of your peanut butter. Don’t worry if you are unsure exactly how thick to make it. Once it’s all over a bowl of warm veggies, it tastes delicious and that’s all that matters. Also makes a great dunking sauce for rice paper rolls.
