Always use equal quantities of sugar to boiling water. For example:

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
300ml boiling water
300g granulated sugar

Method

  1. To make the syrup, pour the boiling water on to the sugar and stir until dissolved.
  2. This will keep in the fridge for two weeks. The syrup should remain clear – do not use if it goes cloudy.
