Raw chocolate meltaways with chia seeds

If you’re after a chocolate fix, look no further. The great thing about these meltaways is that they take just minutes to make and there’s no baking involved. They are a wonderful, energy-sustaining snack.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
20 dates, pitted
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon lucuma powder
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

To decorate

Quantity Ingredient
chia seeds
goji berries
bee pollen

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor. Blitz until well combined, then scoop into a bowl. Using your hands, mould the mixture into 15 balls, then roll each bowl in either chia seeds, goji berries or bee pollen to coat. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Note

  • Chia Seeds are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids – they actually have more omega 3 than salmon!
