I loooooove crackers. These ones are my ultimate snack. They’re perfect for when you’re travelling, for taking to work or just for when you’re sprinting out the door and remember you haven’t eaten anything yet. Spread them with some healthymite, or just with coconut butter and raw honey (this is such an amazing combination). Either way, these are the best little snacks ever!

Ingredients

90g linseeds
40g white or black chia seeds
40g sesame seeds
70g sunflower seeds
90g pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
2 1/2 tablespoons psyllium husk
pinch sea salt flakes
310ml water

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 70°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until combined well. Spread the mixture out evenly onto the baking tray, to form a 30 x 34 cm rectangle, pressing it gently to pack it down slightly. Mark into 15 rough crackers about 10 x 7 cm. Place in the oven and leave to dehydrate for 8 hours or overnight. You can also pop these into a dehydrator. Once they’re crunchy, remove them from the oven (or your dehydrator) and break them up into crackers. Place them in an airtight container and nibble as you please! Store in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
