This is maybe the easiest and the best thing you will make from this book. Use it for topping your truffles, sprinkling on salads or for coating cashew cheese balls. There is nothing that these bacon pieces don’t go with!

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
55g coconut flakes
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon tamari
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 pinch sea salt flakes
1-2 drops liquid smoke, optional

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir together so the coconut is coated in everything.
  3. Spread the coconut mixture on the lined baking tray and bake for around 5 minutes or until golden. Let it cool completely then transfer it to an airtight jar and store at room temperature. It will keep for 1 month.
