These are super-quick, easy-to-make little chocolate bites, which are great to have in the freezer. Then, when you need a little somethin’ (in case all the balls you already have in your fridge/freezer aren’t enough), you can grab a square or two and eat at your leisure.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
175g cacao butter
60ml agave syrup
or maple syrup
85g raw cacao powder
1 pinch sea salt flakes, plus extra for sprinkling
2 1/2 tablespoons coconut cream, optional

toppings of your choice

chopped nuts, chopped dried fruits, coconut flakes seeds

Method

  1. Melt the cacao butter in a double boiler set over simmering water. Once it’s melted, whisk in the agave syrup then add the cacao, salt and coconut cream (if using). Whisk again until the mixture is smooth then remove from the heat and cool slightly. Line the base of a 20 x 15 cm tray with baking paper. Pour in the chocolate mixture then sprinkle with a little extra salt, or other topping of your choice.
  2. Place in the fridge or freezer to set completely. Chop and enjoy.
