Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
24 large strawberries, washed and dried
12 wooden icy pole sticks
150g milk, dark or white chocolate

Method

  1. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Using scissors, cut the icy pole sticks in half crossways and push 1 strawberry onto each icy pole stick.
  2. Break the chocolate into small, even pieces and place in a heatproof bowl. Fill a small saucepan with one-third water, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat to low. Put the heatproof bowl on top of the saucepan (it shouldn’t be touching the water) and, using a metal or silicone spoon, stir the chocolate until it is melted and smooth.
  3. Dip the strawberries into the chocolate. Place onto the baking tray and refrigerate for about 2 hours, until set.

Tip

  • you can use bananas instead of strawberries. After dipping them in chocolate, put them in the freezer until partially frozen. Yummy!
