This liqueur is a great digestive to enjoy after a big dinner!

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
40 fresh bay leaves
1/2 bottle vodka
500g caster sugar
200ml water
1 large organic lemon, zested, (make sure you use only the yellow zest as the white pith is bitter)

Method

  1. Combine the bay leaves and vodka in a sealed glass jar and leave them to infuse for 15 days.
  2. After the 15 days, add the sugar, water and lemon zest and leave in a cool, dark place for a minimum of 2 months. Shake the jar from time to time until all the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Strain before drinking.
