This very simple dish is a delicious accompaniment to grilled fish or meat, and equally good served as part of an antipasto.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/2 young radicchio per person
virgin olive oil
salt flakes
freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat a barbecue or griddle plate to high.
  2. Cut the radicchio into quarter-wedges and drizzle with olive oil. Grill or barbecue for a few minutes until the radicchio starts to colour.
  3. Transfer to a serving dish and drizzle with a little more oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve.
