1kg plums
165g sugar
60ml water

Method

  1. Make shallow cut around each plum, then arrange in an ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with sugar and water, cook in a preheated slow oven (150°C) for 20–25 minutes or until soft. Serve warm.

Variations

  • Use brown or vanilla sugar in place of ordinary crystal sugar, or substitute 2 tablespoons each port and water for water.
