Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
large dessert prunes
walnut or pecan halves
rashers lean bacon, rind removed
water, boiling, (optional)
or black tea, hot, (optional)

Method

  1. Soak prunes in boiling water or hot black tea for 15 minutes, if desired. Drain, remove stones and stuff with nuts. Wrap in bacon and secure with wooden toothpicks.
  2. Grill, turning frequently, or bake in a preheated hot oven for 7–10 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
