Grilled peach halves flavoured with sugar and spice, which go well with ham or tongue.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 large peaches, peeled, halved and stoned
3 tablespoons brown sugar
16 cloves
cinnamon, for sprinkling
nutmeg, for sprinkling
45g butter

Method

  1. Arrange peach halves in a heatproof dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar, stud each peach half with 2 cloves and then sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Dot with butter.
  2. Grill under a preheated grill for about 5 minutes. Serve with hot ham or tongue.
