Nothing matches the flavour of homemade juice. When tomatoes are cheap, double or triple the quantity and keep covered in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
12 ripe tomatoes, chopped
125ml water
1 onion, sliced
2 sticks celery, sliced
1 bay leaf
3 sprigs parsley

Seasoning

Quantity Ingredient
1-2 teaspoons salt
freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon sugar

Method

  1. Place tomatoes in a saucepan with water, onion, celery, bay leaf and parsley. Simmer for 15 minutes. Strain and add seasoning ingredients to taste. Chill well, before serving.
