Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
45g unsalted butter
2 tablespoons plain flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1/2 cup cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup brandy

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and stir in the flour. Cook for a minute then add the sugar, golden syrup, cream and milk. Stir to blend and continue cooking over a gentle heat until thick and creamy. Stir in brandy and serve hot with Christmas pudding.
