Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 medium tomatoes
salt and freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 small garlic clove, crushed

Method

  1. Halve the tomatoes, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix the breadcrumbs with the butter and garlic, and then season with the salt and pepper. Spoon onto the tomatoes and grill under moderate heat until the crumbs are brown and the tomatoes heated through, or bake in a 190°C oven for 10–15 minutes.
