This is the best bowl snack ever! We serve it plain but you could sprinkle it with salt if you like.

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil in a large saucepan over a medium–low heat. Add a couple of popcorn kernels to the pan and give it a shake. When the kernels pop, remove the pan from the heat, then add another 40 g kernels in an even layer. Cover the pan with a lid and leave off the heat for 30–40 seconds, then return to the heat, gently shake the pan and wait for the kernels to start popping. Leave on the heat with the lid slightly ajar until the popping slows down. Transfer to a bowl and enjoy.
