Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
6 dried long red chillies
75g sea salt flakes

Method

  1. Preheat a grill to low. Toast the chillies under the grill for about 2minutes until dark red. Allow to cool for 5 minutes until crispy.
  2. Pulse the chillies in a spice grinder, or pound using a mortar and pestle, to form flakes. Add the sea salt flakes and pulse or pound once or twice to combine. You can make the chilli salt as coarse or as fine as you wish – just blend longer for a finer finish.
