Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 sheets flaky or puff pastry
1 cup tasty cheese, finely grated
cayenne pepper, to taste
1 egg, beaten

Method

  1. Roll out each sheet of pastry separately, until very thin. Sprinkle with cheese and cayenne pepper.
  2. Fold each sheet into three. Roll out again, not too thinly this time. Brush with beaten egg. Cut either lengthways or crossways to desired width and twist.
  3. Place on greased tray and bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
