This cocktail is the house cocktail of the famous Rosa Mexicano restaurants in the United States. I am always reminded of being in New York when I make this. A lovely sweet and sour drink, it is served in a long shot glass with a matching shot of tequila. To drink, alternate sips between both shots and savour the unique contrasts provided.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
25ml pomegranate molasses
10ml freshly squeezed orange juice
squeeze lime juice
pinch chilli powder
ice, for shaking
shot glass herradura tequila

Method

  1. Combine the pomegranate molasses, orange juice, lime juice and chilli powder in a cocktail shaker with a few cubes of ice. Shake to combine. Strain into a tall shot glass. Serve with a matching shot of Herradura tequila.
