Crisp, spicy, tangy and crunchy, this salad is perfect with grilled fish or beef.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 large red onion, thinly sliced
3 green chillies, finely chopped
4 ripe tomatoes, sliced
1 cucumber, sliced
2 teaspoons maldive fish flakes, (see glossary)
1 lime, juiced
salt and ground black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl, toss well and set aside until ready to serve.
