Who doesn’t love a crumble? Tell us, and we’ll go and tell them what’s what.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
500g bramley apples
500g pears
1 orange, Finely grated zest and juice
50g caster sugar (depending on the sweetness of the fruit, you may need more)

For the topping

Quantity Ingredient
75g flour, plus 1 tablespoon
50g toasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
15g rolled oats
45g soft brown sugar (light or dark)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
65g hazelnut butter

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C
  2. Peel, core and slice the apples and pears, then spread out in a shallow ovenproof dish. Sprinkle over the orange zest and juice, then sprinkle the sugar evenly over the top.
  3. For the topping, put the flour, chopped hazelnuts, oats, sugar, cinnamon and hazelnut butter into a food processor and pulse until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Sprinkle evenly over the fruit and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the topping is pale golden.
  4. Serve warm with a dollop of yoghurt or cream.
