A vibrant red, delicately flavoured and refreshing smoothie. The addition of mint and black pepper provides a tangy finish which lengthens the enjoyment of this drink.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
160g watermelon
10 large strawberries
or 14 small strawberries
6-8 mint leaves, to taste, plus more to serve (optional)
pinch freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Remove the pips from the watermelon. Clean the strawberries.
  2. Place everything in a blender, whizz for a minute, then serve with a sprig of mint in each glass, if you like.
