Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
650g greek yogurt
2-3 tablespoons chopped mint leaves, plus more leaves to serve
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 lime, finely grated zest
1/2 lime, juiced
1 tablespoon caster sugar
ice cubes
salt, to taste

Method

  1. Pour the cumin seeds into a small, dry frying pan and place over a medium heat. Stir until aromatic and a shade darker, then tip into a mortar and grind to a powder with the pestle.
  2. Put the crushed cumin seeds into a jug blender and shove in all the remaining ingredients with a big handful of ice cubes and about 1 tsp of salt, or to taste.
  3. Blitz until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses and sprinkle with mint leaves to serve.
