Green mango with soya sauce sambal

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 small green mango
2 tablespoons javanese soya sauce
2 slices green bird’s eye chillies, to taste
or red chillies, seeded and sliced
salt, to taste

Method

  1. Peel and shred the mango in the way you would shred green papaya or cut it into julienne strips. Toss everything together and serve in a small dish or bowl as a fresh accompaniment to, say, deep-fried fish or squid (Ikan asam), and a light vegetable cooked with coconut milk (Masak lemak).
