This is a lovely refreshing punch to serve on Christmas day – even the colours go with the Christmas theme!

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 litre lemonade
500ml cranberry juice
2 teaspoons rosewater
1 lime, thinly sliced
1/2 punnet raspberries
6 fresh, unblemished mint leaves

Equipment

Quantity Ingredient
sharp knife and chopping board
measuring jug
2 litre capacity punch bowl, preferably clear
measuring spoons
ladle (one with a lip is ideal)

Method

  1. Ask a grown-up to help you to pour the lemonade into the punch bowl. To stop it fizzing too much, try to pour it slowly down the inside of the bowl instead of sloshing it straight in.
  2. Add the cranberry juice and rosewater and stir gently.
  3. Carefully add the lime slices, raspberries and mint leaves; they will float on the surface. Ask a grown-up to lift the bowl into the fridge until you want to serve it. But don’t make it too far ahead of time or the lemonade will go flat.
  4. To serve, ladle the punch into glasses, making sure everyone gets some of the lime, raspberries and mint leaves.
