Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
440g sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method

  1. Put the sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan with 250 ml water. Bring to the boil, stir well and cook over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, until the sugar has dissolved and the liquid has reduced.
  2. Set aside and allow to cool. Transfer to an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
