Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
10 sheets fillo pastry
125g butter, melted
1 quantity Kiyma
or 1 quantity Beyaz peynir
or 1 quantity Ispanak

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  2. Open out the pastry sheets and cut each sheet into strips. Stack them and cover with a cloth.
  3. Take a strip of pastry and brush it lightly with melted butter. Spread a generous tablespoon of filling towards the narrow edge, keeping the filling clear of the sides. Fold in the sides and roll up. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, placing the finished rolls on a buttered baking tray, seam side down.
  4. Brush the rolls lightly with butter and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden. Serve hot.

Note

  • Smaller cocktail-sized rolls may be made by cutting pastry sheets into quarters. Use less filling and the yield is greater.
