Strawberries with balsamic vinegar

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
250g strawberries
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Method

  1. Wash, hull and halve the strawberries.
  2. Heat a small frying pan over a low heat and gently warm the balsamic vinegar until it reduces slightly and becomes viscous.
  3. Pour the balsamic vinegar over the strawberries and toss to combine. Allow to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  4. Serve at room temperature for the best flavour. The brave can add a grind of fresh black pepper—delicious!
