I always feel there has to be something salty in between all the sweet things, so this is perfect. You can use ready-made rye crispbread instead of homemade Ruis, if you’re not a baker.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 small bunch dill
200g cream cheese
1 cucumber
1 ruis loaf
or 12 pieces crisp bread
12 slices smoked salmon

Method

  1. Finely chop the dill, leaving a few sprigs to serve, and mix well with the cream cheese. Cut the cucumber into thin slices.
  2. If using a Ruis loaf, cut it in two halves and then into thin slices.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mix on the bread, followed by two or three slices of cucumber. Place a slice of smoked salmon on top and add a sprig of dill.
