Ingredients

45g butter
125ml pure cream
125g caster sugar
100g walnuts, roughly chopped
1 orange, zest finely chopped
50g plain flour
100g dark chocolate, chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C.
  2. Place butter, cream and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to the boil over a medium heat, then remove immediately. Stir in the nuts, orange zest and flour. Leave to cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Drop heaped teaspoons of the mix onto lined baking trays, leaving 4 cm between each one.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 15–20 minutes. Biscuits should be golden at the edges and firm to the touch. Allow to cool on the trays.
  5. Melt chocolate and spread onto the back of each biscuit. Allow chocolate to set completely before storing.
