  • How do I use the glossary?

    To find out the meaning of a cookery term or phrase you're not familiar with, look for the blue underline on words in recipes and hover your mouse over the top to reveal the glossary definition

  • What kind of measurements are used in the recipes?

    All of the recipes on Cooked use metric measurements, and Australian Standard cup and tablespoon measures. Please note that according to Australian Standards 1 cup = 250 ml and 1 tablespoon = 20 ml.

  • What do the abbreviations mean?

    Some of the recipes use abbreviations for units of measurement:

  • What if my oven uses degrees Fahrenheit (°F) or gasmark?

    Oven temperatures in recipes on Cooked are expressed in degrees Celsius (°C). If using a fan-forced oven, as a guide, drop the temperature by 20°C.
